Different clan match types: pickup, scrimmage, official

Practice matches? Scrimmage matches? pickup matches? official matches? What? - Just to make things clear, here are the differences as I see them.

- [b]Scrimmage/practice match[/b] : This is for the purpose of gainign experience and building up skill. This is a match between two clans, but the match is not put on a public server for everyone to spectate, the match will likely involve experimenting with new strategies, gameplay, communication binds, or players doing different roles than they normally do (like me doing flag runs). It could be scheduled or an an unplanned match. Someone could fill-in to make the teams even, but it's really intended for a clan to work on teamplay.

- [b]pickup matches[/b] : This is a match where anyone joins, including people who aren't in clans. It's just for getting games going that are with players that (hopefully) have more understanding of strategy and teamplay than what is found on the public servers.

- [b]clan challenge pickup match[/b]: I dunno what else to call this, but it's basically a scrimmage match where a clan will challenge a pickup team rather than another clan.

- [b]clan challenge PUBLIC pickup match[/b]: I'd be open to setting up a public server for doing a clan match vs anyone. It would be hell trying to keep this organized though. I would imagine people would quit halfway through and other people would have to jump in to fill up the teams. It could be fun though. It would help make the general Nexuiz community aware of clan acvivity. When one of these is setup, it could be called something like "Militia vs All - CTF" or "Vortex vs All - CTF" to get people's attention.

- [b]Official clan match[/b] : This is where one clan schedules a match with another clan, maps are chosen ahead of time so each clan can prepare, the match is run on a setup clan server (NOT THE BATCAVE SERVERS) so the server can be made public and anyone can join and spectate. Contact Dokujisan to have one of these matches setup.

Fantastic, because after playing hydronexb7 and vitamea today on Galt's I realize why people get so infuriated so quickly on pub servers.
