[brainstorming] New name for Nexrun

Nexrun was always intended as a temporary name for the mod. We've been discussing in the #nexrun channel, and decided to go the community to see if you have any ideas for a good name.

I am terrible at coming up with names, so I need [u]your[/u] help!

The only decent suggestion so far has been "Movementum" and may stick unless we get some other suggestions. A self-explanatory name is desired but not required. The name would hopefully include elements of the words Nexuiz, pro, movement, defrag/race/run while attempting to be unique so as to not compete with an existing words like "Disk Defragmentation" does with "defrag"

Personally I like Movementum. Altho we need a name that is shorter or that can be shortened in conversations if it's that long and still make sense. Movementum can't really be shortened, or maybe something we can say MVT? MMT? I could live with mvt. It's pretty random, but... I dunno.

Because admit it, we're lazy, nobody's gonna want to type "movementum" everytime we're talking about it. "Nexuiz" is short and sweet. Some people even say "let's play some nex" and we all know what they're talking about. "Defrag" is short and sweet too.

Good point nifrek. I actually dont mind nexrun all that much, and I guess its for that reason. Its quick and easy to say, and its self explanatory. I could never quite put my finger on it, but I guess that is what turns me off of movementum.

Ill give it a couple days to see if anyone comes up with anything better, but for now im gonna stay with nexrun, simply because its short and it lets you know what it is. (And then I dont have to change anything :O)

With nexrun its self explanatory.

Ill be thinking up some names though!

movementum can be also be abbreviated to 'mm' or 'mmm', and then that makes me think 3m or mmm yummy

Personally i think NexRun is not that bad of a name

if you guys did do Movementum, you could just say m3,because there's 3 m's?

Trex, because getting across those maps is quite a trek. Also sounds like 'tricks', lots of trick jumps to do.

Yes, I was thinking m3 or 3m, despite the car and the textile/technology company
