How to use iMovie - Chubby - 07-18-2008 05:28 PM

This tutorial is just for the basics of iMovie.
Sorry it's in dutch. But everything has the same places as in american.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Convert the .dems of good games or speedruns to .avi's. Use iSquint or an other program to convert the .avi's to mp4. I always store my material on the desktop.

Open iMovie
Add your material by using this:

If you have imported a movie of 10 mins, you don't want to put the whole 10 mins in your project. Move your cursor over the movie to search for good parts.

You can select good parts by pressing first mouse button and move it over the movie. It still searches in the movie while having first mouse button is pressed.
When you are ready with selecting, move the selection to the place which is showed in the image.

You can select fades by pressing cmd+4
Then just move them to the place where you want it.

Add music by pressing cmd+1

Now you must export the movie by pressing cmd+E.

Sorry for the bad english and sorry for the dutch text in the screenshots.
