I also considered just not releasing this but I'm going to anyway otherwise it renders the entire excercise pointless.
Fairly simple open ctf maps people seem to like a lot. So I made one that ruins line of sight with trees so its much harder to see across. Take that, campers!

Used a multitude of textures. Some from opengameart.org, all gpl or public. Made the bumpmaps for the stone textures myself (poorly).

Enjoy. Please inform me asap if there are missing textures/models/gophers.

It plays both ONS and CTF and is designed to be a lot like the Tribes games. Quite simply its very large and doesnt have a huge amount of detail. It took me quite some time to get rid of lighting errors that kept appearing so hopefully there shouldnt be any left. Its my first time playing with ImgToMap as well which... may explain the scale.

The heightmap is actually a genuine tribes one and one of the few symmetric ones.
I'm going to need heaps of feedback on this.
Oh also, heres prefabs of all the buildings and stuff I made for the map if anyone wants them:

From playing Nexuiz online & from searching through forums, I have found several maps that I like and have downloaded. Some maps (even some of the ones included with Nexuiz) are not very "bot-friendly". By this I mean that bots too often get stuck in corners, stand in place, or cannot figure out how to use certain jumps/portals correctly.

Although I usually play Nexuiz with human players only, sometimes it is nice to play with bots (especially while waiting for additional players to join my private dedicated server). Does anyone know of certain maps that seem to be bot-friendly, or a place where I could look to find this info?

I am especially looking for a few more CTF maps where bots do more than stand still. I am really just looking for a bot that could help balance out a 2x3 CTF match-up. Realistically, I just want a bot that can wander around and help frag enemy attackers. On some CTF maps, bots do capture (& conceivably return) flags, but they suck at it (which is fine -- we can let the human players do the actual point-scoring).

As far as CTF is concerned, the only map that bots do real well on (that I've tried) is succer_socks. There is also a "Torus" map that bots do mediocre on. If anyone knows of a (even half-way) decent CTF map for bots, please let me know (you would save me hours of downloading and play-testing!).
