I compressed to PhotoJPEG at 320x240, 30fps, then uploaded to YouTube. PhotoJPEG is minimal compression, so I was uploading a big file. In fact it was 86MB, which was close to the 100MB limit.

YouTube converts to their own format after that, but starting with the best quality you can will help their conversion do a better job. That's the first video I've put on YouTube, though, so I may have been able to get the same results with a smaller file.
