I'm taking my time on my next sound-release, ...no more bi-weekly [i]minor[/i] changes. From now on, only professional-level sound will be released by me.

I've been working STEADILY for the past two weeks on improving everything from weapon-sound-levels (The new rocket-FLY sound is amazing), also new Lava & Slime sounds, and the Player-sounds are turning out great. (Yes, I even now have the help of a girl who is doing the female voices!)

Very soon, I will also be taking on the job of re-doing the sounds for the Platforms, Elevators, Ambient Environment - etc.

Also, I WILL be making MASSIVE sound-banks for mappers to use, including any custom work you guys need. So please don't hesitate to ask, as I will put your personal requests on TOP my list of things to do - and will let you know ASAP when they're ready.

As far as I'm concerned, many of the sounds thus far, have unfortunately limited the creativity that mappers can run with - because support wasn't there to match any concepts outside of existing parameters.

To myself and many others of our Nexuiz-family here; Nexuiz is NOT a ONE-THEME game, it's all about creative diversity - and therefore the freedom to make any environment you want. So, as for limited sounds? ...I aim to change that - so you guys will be free to have Professional-quality sounds at your disposal.

ALL my sounds are made specifically for Nexuiz (Under the General Public Licence).

The "that was awsome" for the new mid-air electro in v3.6.4 I did not like. I quickly changed it back to "electrobitch".

But other then that, everything else is sounding great. :D

hey tenshihan,
when i was looking to the nexuiz source code, i found that there was an airmortar.wav sound. i dont know why its not actually implemented but i thought you should know and you may want to look into it.

Hi Diabolik! Nice to meet you! (cool name BTW),

In the newest SVN versions, if you manage to hit someone with the mortar (grenade-launcher) while they are airborne, you will hear; "Air-Shot". It's one of the most rare shots that players can get.

If you find it nearly impossible to hear this sound triggered, then make yourself an 'autoexec.cfg' file and put into your system folder called: "nexuiz/data", then copy-paste these codes into it:

bind b "slowmo 1"

bind v "slowmo 0.1"
________________

Now start-up the game and (while playing on your own private server), you can hit the "V" key (for [b]V[/b]ery slow), and then "B" (for [b]B[/b]ack to normal speed)
